Ghana and Sierra Leone hold 1st PJCC session in Accra

The Ministry of Overseas Affairs of Ghana has invited senior officers from Sierra Leone to the primary technical session of the Everlasting Joint Cooperation Committee (PJCC) to be held in Accra on April 21, 2026.

Principal Director and Co-Chair Khadija Idris mentioned the assembly revitalized the mechanism established in 2013 to supply a structured dialogue between the 2 nations and recalled the long-standing ties constructed on mutual respect and cooperation.

He urged members to give attention to key sectors corresponding to commerce and funding, protection and safety, agriculture, vitality and well being.

Alan CE Logan, Co-Chairman and Director-Common of Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Overseas Affairs and Worldwide Cooperation, mentioned the assembly was a step in the direction of translating the 2 nations’ shared imaginative and prescient into concrete outcomes.

He reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s dedication to strengthening financial hyperlinks and cooperation, and pressured the significance of leveraging Ghana’s expertise in areas corresponding to agriculture.

This session goals to deepen bilateral relations and promote sustainable growth by way of structured cooperation between Ghana and Sierra Leone.
