A Toyota Voxy passenger automobile headed from Accra to Assin Foss within the central area was intercepted by police for allegedly carrying unauthorized weapons and ammunition.

The arrest was made by law enforcement officials at a checkpoint on a freeway in Apam district of the central area.

Graphic On-line understands that on Might 27, 2026 at round 12:30am, officers had been on the Greenfield Plantation space the place they arrested the suspected driver, Francis Ampoma, who was in control of the Voxy car.

The Voxy car with registration quantity GT 9748-26 was delivered to Apam police station together with 14 yellow and brown containers containing shotgun ammunition.

The driving force was arrested after the field was discovered within the automobile with out documentation.

The exhibit has since been saved at Apam police station together with the suspect driver, who has been remanded in police custody to help in additional investigations.
