Overseas Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that the continuing evacuation train for Ghanaians fleeing xenophobia in South Africa is being funded by the federal government’s reserve allocation put aside for emergencies.

He spoke in a particular interview with JoyNews. information file The minister defined on Saturday’s program that he had despatched a proper letter to the president looking for approval for using emergency funds. The request was then accepted by collaboration with Congress, which led to the discharge of sources, he mentioned.

He mentioned the accepted funds had been accessed from designated authorities accounts and are at present getting used to assist evacuation efforts.
