The Financial institution of Ghana has dismissed claims that it’s contemplating promoting its new headquarters, saying the studies are false and deceptive.

The Financial institution of Ghana Public Relations Division, in a press launch issued on June 2, 2026, refuted the MyJoyOnline publication titled “Financial institution of Ghana contemplating sale of latest $260 million headquarters – sources”, stating that the report was false and deceptive.

The financial institution stated it has not thought-about, mentioned or deliberate a sale of the ability, which it says is a crucial asset that helps its operations and enhances the effectiveness of its statutory mandate.

The World Financial institution urged the general public and media to disregard the publication, warning that unverified reporting might undermine public confidence in Ghana’s monetary system and create pointless anxiousness within the markets.

The financial institution reaffirmed its dedication to transparency and stated all official communications shall be issued by its web site, verified social media platforms, press statements from the Ministry of Communications, and statements signed by the Financial institution’s Commissioner.

The Financial institution additionally inspired media retailers to hunt clarification earlier than publishing details about their operations.
