Deputy Transport Minister Dorcas Affo-Toffee has charged the administration of Metro Mass Transit Restricted (MMTL) to make sure that it has sufficient funds to buy extra buses.
Madam Affo-Toffee mentioned that is the one manner the federal government can generate income to buy buses effectively.
The Deputy Minister, who can also be the Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency within the Western Area, gave an interview to Onua Information throughout the commissioning and handover of 100 buses to MMTL in Accra in the present day.
“We’ve got requested MMTL to generate sufficient income internally in order that we will procure extra buses,” the deputy minister appealed.
The lawmaker mentioned, “Once we took over, all of the buses had been for MMTL and had been rotten, however these 100 buses will ease congestion in Ghana.”
“Quickly, 100 extra buses will arrive and we’ve got urged MMTL to make sure correct upkeep. We all know that they (MMTL) will keep the buses successfully,” she asserted.
