DJ Slim Jerry explores Afro house sounds and releases ‘Abonteen’

Ghanaian-born disc jockey Jerry Adu, aka DJ Slim Jerry, has launched a brand new Afrobeats-inspired single. Avonteenmarks what he describes as a contemporary inventive course influenced by Afro home sounds.

The New York-based entertainer mentioned the music was impressed by outside social tradition and the colourful vitality related to nightlife and gatherings.

The music, which suggests “outdoors” in Akan, combines upbeat Afrobeat rhythms with Afro-house parts, reflecting the rising fusion of African music types with worldwide dance influences.

DJ Slim Jerry, actual identify Jerry Adu, has been selling Ghanaian and African music within the Bronx and New York’s broader leisure scene for over 20 years.

Through the years, he has shared the stage with notable African artists similar to Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, Prince Vibrant, Tiny, Obrafour, DJ Tunes, and Kiz Daniel.

Talking in regards to the inspiration behind the discharge, DJ Slim Jerry mentioned: Avonteen As a celebration of outside experiences and social connections.

“Avontine is for individuals who know what it’s wish to get out and drive when it’s heat,” he mentioned.

The discharge comes at a time when Afrobeats continues to achieve worldwide recognition, with African artists more and more headlining live shows and festivals in main cities similar to New York, London, Lagos and Accra.
