Xenophobic attacks: More than 400 Ghanaians expected to return home this weekend – Benjamin Quashie

Ghana’s Excessive Commissioner to South Africa, Benjamin Quashie, has revealed that 410 Ghanaians fleeing xenophobic assaults in South Africa will likely be evacuated over the weekend.

This weekend group is the second spherical of the train, following the profitable arrival of 300 evacuees on Wednesday, Could 27, 2026.

In response to the Excessive Commissioner, “The following group will include 410 evacuees who’ve given us their names and wish to return voluntarily. Will probably be subsequent Sunday or Tuesday. He revealed on JoyFM’s Tremendous Morning Present on Thursday, Could 28, that about 1,000 Ghanaians residing in South Africa have registered to return dwelling because of worry of assaults.

Addressing returnees on the Accra Worldwide Airport on Wednesday, Could 27, Mr Ablakwa inspired them to stay optimistic regardless of their experiences overseas.
