The Minister of Commerce, Agribusiness and Business, Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare, convened a gathering with rubber trade stakeholders to debate key points impacting the trade, together with issues over the value of uncooked rubber.

The initiative introduced collectively rubber farmers, affiliation representatives, processors, customs officers from the Ghana Income Authority (GRA), the Tree Crops Growth Authority, and different stakeholders throughout the worth chain.

In her remarks, Mrs. Ofosu-Agyare reaffirmed authorities’s dedication to constructing an industrialized Ghana the place uncooked supplies are sourced, manufactured and processed domestically.

He urged stakeholders to adjust to the federal government’s ban on uncooked rubber exports and warranted that the ministry will work with related businesses to deal with bottlenecks within the rubber worth chain, benefiting all stakeholders.

Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, Director-Basic of the Ghana Income Authority (GRA), inspired all members to work collectively to guard their companies and strengthen the rubber trade.

This initiative is a part of the Ministry’s continued efforts to deal with the challenges going through the rubber sector and strengthen the competitiveness of Ghana’s agribusiness trade.
