One individual was confirmed lifeless after a constructing collapsed in Accra’s northern industrial space.

This comes as emergency responders proceed efforts to rescue individuals believed to be trapped underneath the rubble.

The collapse occurred at roughly 4.25am on Sunday, June 7, and prompted an enormous emergency response involving personnel from the Ghana Nationwide Hearth Service (GNFS), the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces.

Accra Mayor Michael Kpakpo Allotey confirmed the dying on the scene and stated one individual misplaced his life whereas rescue operations continued to seek for and rescue different victims believed to be trapped underneath the rubble.

Earlier, one survivor was pulled from the rubble and rushed to hospital for remedy.
