The Ghana Chamber of Mines stated it stays dedicated to selling environmentally and socially accountable mining practices regardless of the rising controversy over the cancellation of Adamas Sources Restricted’s mining lease.

Adamas Sources Restricted is a Ghanaian gold mining firm whose mining lease was terminated by the federal government as a consequence of unlawful mining violations, environmental injury and lack of native advantages.

Commenting on the problem, Chamber of Commerce and Trade CEO Mr Ing stated: Dr. Ken Asigbey stated all mining firms working in Ghana should absolutely adjust to the nation’s authorized and regulatory framework.

“The long-term reliability, stability and competitiveness of Ghana’s mining business is dependent upon compliance by all operators with these requirements,” he stated.

He defined that the Chamber will proceed to work carefully with regulators, mining firms and different stakeholders to strengthen compliance and enhance business requirements.

“The Chamber stays dedicated to selling environmentally and socially accountable mining and can proceed to work carefully with regulators, member firms and different stakeholders to safeguard the long-term sustainability of the sector.”

Mr. Ing Asigbey additionally expressed concern in regards to the potential influence of the battle on staff and host communities.
