Minister of International Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has reaffirmed Ghana’s dedication to strengthening its partnership with the African Growth Financial institution (AfDB) following the presentation of credentials by the Financial institution’s new Nation Supervisor, Ms. Halimah Yusuf Hassi.

The assembly was held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and the Minister welcomed Mr. Hashi and congratulated him on his appointment. He highlighted the essential position of the AfDB in supporting Ghana’s improvement agenda and reiterated Ghana’s insistence on African-led reforms, notably in debt restructuring, monetary independence and broader transformation throughout the international monetary system.

Mr. Hashi expressed his gratitude for the reception and emphasised the Financial institution’s readiness to deepen cooperation with Ghana. He reaffirmed the Financial institution’s continued help in precedence areas, together with the federal government’s “Large Push” initiative and key infrastructure improvement aimed toward selling sustainable financial development.

Each side expressed optimism that enhanced cooperation will carry tangible advantages to Ghana’s improvement.
