President John Dramani Mahama has referred to as for the introduction of laws that might criminalize soliciting romantic or sexual relationships in trade for employment alternatives.

Mr Mahama denounced exploitative practices by some employers who allegedly made intimate relationships a situation of providing jobs, particularly to girls looking for employment.

“I believe one of many worst issues that may occur is that we must always move laws to punish that. Typically when an employer or hiring supervisor is a person, they demand a romantic relationship earlier than they provide you a job. That is unacceptable. It has to cease,” he mentioned.

He burdened that such acts have to be met with strict authorized motion, and maintained that the nation can’t tolerate abuse and exploitation throughout the office.

The President additionally referred to the implementation of affirmative motion legal guidelines and famous that the federal government continues to work to enhance the stability of women and men in public workplace.
